Original solo piano works by Dutch pianist and composer Bruno Griguoli explore minimalism, atmosphere, and expressive melodic writing. He began playing the piano at the age of nine, gradually developing a musical style influenced by the different cultures and environments in which he lived across Europe, Latin America, and Asia.
His music uses frequent key changes, repetitive patterns, and climactic transitions to convey stories and deep emotions. In 2024, he released his debut EP A Lone Wolf’s Journey, followed by the seven-track album Reflections in 2026.
The idea for the album started with a central melody that was in my head for almost two years. Every time I tried to create a song out of it, another song would emerge. This process continued until I had six songs that all circled around and built up to the “seventh melody”. Until finally, I used it in the album’s last song, “No. 7”. Growing up in different countries was a strong inspiration for this album. August and Forest walk, for example, are inspired by my regular walks in Amsterdam’s Oosterpark. And with ‘Majestic Terap’, I try to convey what it feels like to look up at the canopy of a majestic Terap tree in Fort Canning, Singapore. In short, with ‘Reflections’ I try to create a musical world in which I reflect on simple things in my daily life that are nonetheless crucial in answering the much bigger question: “who am I?”

“Hues of Summer” debuted live at Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw in July for a university graduation. Sweeping Romantic-inspired melodies capture the end of three years of friendship, learning and hard work, while retaining the accessibility of modern neoclassical music. Nostalgic, tender and deeply honest, this song communicates that while the arrival of summer can be beautiful, it also signals the end of things – in this case, three years of university and the departure of the friends made along the way.
